Timothy Shyne is a criminal attorney with extensive experience and a deep concern for
his clients. Attorney Shyne was an Assistant District Attorney in Plymouth
County for eleven years prior to opening his own criminal defense firm.
During his time in the DA's Office, Attorney Shyne handled a variety
of criminal cases in both District and Superior Court concerning topics
from which he draws a unique insight into how criminal cases are prosecuted
and how he can effectively defend his clients against the vast resources
of the government.
Attorney Shyne has many years of experience trying district court misdemeanors
and felonies including indecent assault and battery, larcenies, and narcotics
cases, in addition he has tried a number of juvenile cases including Felony
Youthful Offender cases. Attorney Shyne was the Project Safe Neighborhood
liaison between state, local prosecutors and the United States Attorney's
Office concerning serious felons and all firearm matters. Attorney Shyne
was a lead prosecutor in the Brockton District Court before his promotion
to Superior Court.
During his tenure in Superior Court, Attorney Shyne handled Rapes, Robberies,
Child Rape, Handgun cases, Narcotics Trafficking, and Homicides; gathering
an intricate knowledge of the grand jury system, indictments, and navigating
the intricacies of Superior Court Trials. Attorney Shyne eventually was
promoted to the position as the Chief of All the District Courts in Plymouth
County, handling the managerial needs of the county as well as handling
his own serious felony and Homicide caseload in the Superior Court.
